Please read the following Terms and Conditions before booking your tour.
StarTOurs Hiro’s Private Tour and its guide reserve the right to update or revise these terms at any time.

What’s Included in the Tour Price

  • Guiding fee (for the scheduled tour time)

What’s Not Included in the Tour Price

  • Transportation fees (please also cover the same transportation cost for the guide)

  • Admission fees to temples, museums, etc.

  • Meals and drinks (including the guide’s portion)

  • Any additional expenses incurred during the tour

Payment

  • Full payment must be made via PayPal at least 48 hours before the tour.

Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel the tour, the following cancellation fees will apply:

Cancellation Time Fee
On the tour day 100% of the tour price
1–3 days before 80%
4–7 days before 50%
8–14 days before 20%
15+ days before Free cancellation

The refund will be made through PayPal, deducting the applicable cancellation fee.
No-shows on the tour day are treated as same-day cancellations (100% charge).

Cancellations by the Guide

The guide reserves the right to cancel the tour due to:

  • Severe weather (e.g., typhoon, heavy snow, extreme heat)

  • Unexpected situations that make it unsafe or impractical to run the tour

In such cases, you will be informed 1–2 days before the tour.
A full refund will be issued via PayPal.

Tour Style

  • All tours are conducted using public transportation and on foot.

  • Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for walking long hours.

For Family Guests with Children

  • If joining the tour with a baby or toddler, please bring your own stroller or baby carrier.

  • While the guide will choose stroller-friendly routes as much as possible, please note that some locations in Japan have stairs or narrow paths that may not be accessible.

  • The guide is kid-friendly, but is not responsible for supervising children. Parents or guardians are expected to take full responsibility.

Adding Extra Participants

  • If you wish to bring additional guests, please inform the guide in advance.

  • The tour fee will vary depending on the number of participants.

  • If unexpected participants join without notice, the guide reserves the right to cancel the tour without a refund.

Insurance

  • Travel insurance is not included in the tour.

  • Please ensure you are adequately insured for your trip to Japan.

  • While the guide takes great care to ensure safety, the guide is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or losses that occur during the tour.

Changes or Early Termination of the Tour

  • The guide will try to follow the planned itinerary, but may change it flexibly on the day depending on weather or conditions.
    (e.g., switching to indoor spots in case of sudden rain)

  • If continuing the tour becomes unsafe or difficult, the guide may terminate the tour early. In this case, no refund will be provided.
